Statement of Beliefs

Grace & Truth Conferences are committed to promoting the historic Christian faith as expressed in the Reformed tradition. Rooted in Scripture and faithful to the gospel of Jesus Christ, we seek to equip believers, strengthen churches, and proclaim biblical truth to a post-modern world.

We affirm the following core beliefs:

1. The Authority and Sufficiency of Scripture
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, inerrant, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. Scripture alone (Sola Scriptura) is the final rule for faith and life.

2. The Triune God
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each person is fully God, co-equal, and co-eternal.

3. Creation, Fall, and Sin
We believe God created all things by His word and for His glory. Humanity was created in the image of God but fell into sin through Adam’s disobedience, resulting in spiritual death, guilt, and corruption. All people are sinners by nature and choice, unable to save themselves apart from God’s grace.

4. The Person and Work of Christ
We believe in the full deity and humanity of Jesus Christ. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, died as a substitutionary atonement for sinners, rose bodily from the dead, and ascended into heaven, where He reigns as King and Mediator.

5. Salvation by Grace Alone, through Faith Alone, in Christ Alone
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s sovereign grace (Sola Gratia), received by faith alone (Sola Fide), through the work of Christ alone (Solus Christus). All who repent of their sins and trust in Christ are justified, adopted, and made new creations in Him.

6. The Sovereignty of God
We believe that God sovereignly rules over all things for His glory, including salvation, which is accomplished by His gracious election, calling, and preserving of His people.

7. The Work of the Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit glorifies Christ, convicts the world of sin, and regenerates, sanctifies, and empowers believers. He indwells the Church, producing spiritual fruit and enabling believers to live holy lives.

8. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, made up of all true believers who are united by faith and committed to worship, teaching, sacraments, fellowship, and mission. The Church is called to proclaim the gospel and serve as the pillar and foundation of truth.

9. The Sacraments
We believe Christ instituted two sacraments for His Church: Baptism and the Lord’s Supper. These are visible signs and seals of God’s covenant promises, pointing to the finished work of Christ and the benefits of salvation.

10. The Return of Christ and the Final Judgment
We believe in the bodily return of Jesus Christ to judge the living and the dead. He will consummate His kingdom, and the righteous will enter into eternal joy, while the unrepentant will face eternal judgment.

11. To God Alone Be the Glory (Soli Deo Gloria)
We affirm that God alone deserves all glory in creation, redemption, and the lives of believers. Our lives and ministries exist to glorify Him.

Confessional Basis

We affirm the system of doctrine summarized in the historic Reformed confessions, including:

  • The Belgic Confession (1561)
  • The Heidelberg Catechism (1563)
  • The Canons of Dort (1618-19)
  • The Westminster Confession of Faith and its catechisms (1647)
